Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, meet with our representatives who shall escort you to the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure followed by dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Overnight Train

Full day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi visiting a number of monuments and ruins as well as modern marvels. Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Red Fort and Jama Masjid are some such destinations known the world over for both their historical significance as well as the artistic brilliance. Evening transfer to Delhi railway station and board overnight train to Varanasi with dinner on-board.

Day 3: Varanasi Temple Tour

Morning arrival at Varanasi and meet with our representatives who shall transfer you to the hotel. The most important Hindu pilgrimage destination, Varnasi has spirituality, religious fervor and holiness imbedded in all of its aspects. Evening proceed for a boat ride upon the life giving waters of Ganges. As the boat slowly meanders through the quite surroundings, one can’t help but feel the essence and the mysticism that is in the air at Varanasi-one of world’s oldest cities.

Day 4: Varanasi Sightseeing

Full day spent on sightseeing of the heritage city visiting its famous sites and destinations like Vishwanath temple, the Bharat Mata temple, BHU, Assi Ghat etc. Varanasi was once almost completely destroyed by the invading mughals under the rule of Aurangzeb, however the city rebuilt itself and stands today as a symbolizing Hinduism. Overnight stay will be at hotel.

Day 5: Varanasi - Sarnath - Varanasi

Morning after breakfast excursion to Sarnath, famous as the site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples after achieving enlightenment. Several ruins from the bygone age including Buddha temples, the Dhamekha stupa, Chaukhandi stupa and the archaeological museum are more than worth a visit. Rest of the day free for leisure followed by dinner and overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 6: Varanasi - Allahabad

Today we leave the spiritual realms of Varanasi and drive towards Prayag or Allahabad, another India heritage center. Famous for the convergence point of three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati- Sangam, Allahabad is now an important pilgrimage center of the Hindus. The town is also one of the places known for housing the famous "Kumbh Mela". Overnight stay will be at hotel.

Day 7: Allahabad - Kaushambi - Overnight Train

Morning after breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of last but in no way the least Buddhist pilgrimage destination – Kaushambi. A sacred pilgrimage destination, Kaushambi is known for a several architectural relics and ruins relating to the Buddhist period. The stupas, Kaushambi Museum, Ashokan Pillar, an old fort and Ghositaram Monastery are some places not to be missed. Evening transfer to the railway station for overnight journey to Delhi with dinner onboard.

Day 8: Delhi

Morning arrival at Delhi railway station and transfer to the hotel for check-in. indulge in some last minute shopping before being transferred to the international airport for onward/return journey.
