Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Arrival at Delhi airport to a warm welcome from our representatives followed by transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi
Full day sightseeing of Delhi visiting a pleasant blend of historical monuments with new age marvels. Jama Masjid, the Red Fort, Rajghat, India Gate, Qutab Minar, Humayun’s tomb etc. are the world famous monuments that we shall be covering followed by return drive to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi/ Nawalgarh
After breakfast set out for a six hour drive to Nawalgarh- the typical Rajasthani village giving you a taste of what lies ahead in the pleasant journey. The town is basically famous for the finest specimen of frescos in the Shekhawati region. The Nawalgarh Fort, its colorful bazaars and numerous Havelis with elaborate architecture and decorations are the tourist attractions. Overnight stay at Nawalgarh.
Day 04: Nawalgarh/Bikaner
Morning drive to Bikaner-another historical town of Rajasthan. Post lunch set out to explore the heritage city covering the famous Junagarh Fort (one of the most imposing Forts of Northern India), Camel breeding farm, and other tourist sites. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Bikaner.
Day 05: Bikaner/Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is regarded as the Oasis in the desert of Rajasthan. The town was inhabited by wealthy merchants in the past who had to move on to other regions for expanding their business, and they left behind masterful Havelis and mansions as their memorabilia’s. Arrival and evening excursion to Gadi Sagar and Sunset Point. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
Day 06: Jaisalmer
Full day sightseeing of the historical town starting from its most famous landmark- the Jaisalmer Fort. Some famous havelis known for displaying breathtaking frescoes and murals include Patwon-ki-haveli, Salim Singh-ki-haveli and Nathmalji-ki-haveli. Some Jain & Hindu Temples along with the museum are also worth visiting. Overnight will be at hotel.
Day 07: Jaisalmer/Jodhpur
Jodhpur is another famous heritage town of Rajasthan, well known throughout the region for its historical monuments, royal forts, mansions and bazaars. We drive towards Jodhpur in the morning and upon reaching transfer to hotel follows. Sightseeing involves visits to Meherangarh Fort- a palatial structure that dominates the whole village, museums, clock tower and Spice Market. Overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 08: Jodhpur/Pushkar
Today we leave the desert landscape of Jodhpur to enter into the holy landscape of Pushkar. Regarded as one of the holiest places in India, we shall check-in at a hotel there by afternoon. A detailed sightseeing follows starting from the Brahma temple- the only one of its kind in the world. Visit also the riverfront surrounded by 500 odd temples, Pushkar Lake, Savitri temple and the township. Overnight will be at hotel in Pushkar.
Day 09: Pushkar/Samode
Samode is the next destination in our itinerary. After the few hours’ drive we reach at Samode followed by check-in at the hotel. Set amidst a fairytale setting, Samode village is famous for its heritage wealth constituting of magnificent Havelis, mansions and handicrafts. Visit the Samode palace displaying splendid frescoes upon its walls as well as one of finest specimen of Rajput architecture. Overnight will be at hotel in Samode.
Day 10: Samode/Jaipur
Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur and upon arrival check-in at a pre-booked hotel. Jaipur is one of the most culturally rich cities of India and being ruled by several dynasties during its glorious past-the city has royalty embedded all over it. We shall be visiting the famous Amber Fort, which is the most frequented destination in Jaipur. Apart from its exquisite architecture, it is famous for the elephant ride that visitors take to reach to forts entrance.
Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace and Jantar Mantar (ancient astronomical observatory) shall be our next destinations as you marvel at the artistic abilities of bygone era. Dinner & overnight stay at Jaipur hotel.
Day 11: Jaipur/Agra
After a leisurely breakfast drive to the most famous vertex of Golden Triangle tour –Agra. Our expert guide shall take you on the much awaited visit to Taj Mahal. Now a pride of India, Taj Mahal has seen its popularity multiply owing to the legends behind its birth. Whereas most monuments were built for symbolizing victory, as royal residence or to aid in military advancement, Taj Mahal was built to serve as a symbol of love. Needless to mention the exquisite beauty of this marble clad structure also plays its part.
Other monuments worth visiting include Agra Red Fort which is almost a replica of Delhi Red Fort and Jama Masjid-regarded as the biggest mosque in Asia. Overnight stay at Agra hotel.
Day 12: Jhansi/Orchha/Khajuraho
Morning transfer to Agra railway station for train to Jhansi where our representatives shall be waiting with a cab for drive to Khajuraho. En-route visit Orchha, believed to have been built during 16th and 17th centuries by the Bundela rulers. The temples exhibit rich artistic acumen of bygone age and are in remarkably preserved state. Later, continue towards Khajuraho and upon arrival check-in at a hotel. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
Day 13: Khajuraho
Full day sightseeing of Khajuraho including the village life and the world-renowned temples. The town is famous for the masterful depiction of sensual, erotic sculptures. These temples were built by Chandela dynasty between 950 AD to 1150 AD and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex comprising of Eastern, Western & Southern group of temples shall be covered in detail with our expert guide explaining the depicted meaning of famous sculptures.
Day 14: Khajuraho/Varanasi
Morning transfer to Khajuraho airport for flight to Varanasi and upon arrival meets with our representatives who shall assist & transfer you to the hotel. Post lunch set out to explore the city known as the preserver and essence of India. With a history dating back to 3000 BC, the heritage city has much to offer in terms of sightseeing. Visit Banaras Hindu University(BHU), Assi Ghat, Dashaswamedh Ghat, Bharat Mata Temple and the main shrine in Varanasi- the Vishwanath Temple.
Dinner & overnight stay at Varanasi hotel.
Day 15: Varanasi/Delhi
Morning enjoy a boat ride upon the tranquil waters of holy river Ganges. Take a stroll along the famous Ghats of Varanasi or shop for traditional handicrafts from its bazaars Later, set out for an excursion trip to Sarnath- the site where Lord Buddha delivered his very first sermon after achieving enlightenment. Evening transfer to airport for flight to Delhi and upon arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Departure
Indulge in some last minute shopping before being transferred to the international airport for your onward/return journey.
