Day 01: Arrival at Delhi.
Arrive at Delhi airport to a warm welcome from our representatives who shall assist & transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Rest of theday free followed by dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi sightseeing
Full day sightseeing of the city starting from the charming Old Delhi, which is known for wonderfully preserving the nostalgia of bygone era. The Mughal residence Red Fort built in red sandstone is worth a visit as so are the several historical monuments located inside including the museum displaying royal artifacts and artilleries. The holy mosque of Jama Masjid which is also a UNESCO world heritage site is our next destination. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk, famous as the ethnic Indian market.
Post lunch, drive to Humayun’s tomb, a beautiful monument built in the memory of Mughal Emperor Humayun by his wife Haji Begum. The 12th century Qutab Minar, one of the highly frequented site in Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhawan-the official residence of President of India and India Gate-the famous war memorial are also covered. Evening drive back to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur regarded as the hub of culture, tradition and royalties of Rajasthan and upon arrival transfer to a hotel. In the evening set out for a short excursion trip to Choki Dhani, an ethnic five star resort offering a typical rajasthani experience. Enjoy puppet show, traditional song & dance program, fire eaters show etc followed by bonfire dinner. Overnight at the Jaipur hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur
Full day free to explore Jaipur, the cultural hub of Rajasthan and also one of the most well planned ones. Start from an excursions to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Rajput rulers exhibiting breathtaking interiors and decorative art. The most popular tourist attraction of Jaipur, Amber fort gives an insight into the opulence of Royal Rajput lifestyle. Summer palace, winter palace and mirror palace are some of the exquisite buildings inside.
Post lunch visit Hawa Mahal (Palace or Winds), City Palace-a picturesque building divided into series of courtyards, gardens and blocks and Jantar Mantar, the 17th century astronomical observatory which is remarkably accurate for that period.
Day 05: Jaipur-Ranthambore
Morning set out for a shopping spree in the busy markets of Jaipur followed by drive to Ranthambore and upon arrival transfer to a wildlife resort. Set out for a Nature walk in the reserve known for a rich variety of exotic flora, wild animals and beautiful birds.
Overnight stay at Ranthambore.
Day 06: Ranthambore
Full day guided safari (elephant/jeep) into the reserve.
Ranthambhore: One of India’s premier wildlife reserve, Ranthambore boast of an incredible variety of wild animals and bird species. Founded in 1955, Ranthambore’s star attraction is its rather ‘friendly’ tigers that are rather used to human presence and may be sighted even during day. Covering an area of 400 sq. km., the reserve is nestled amidst the billion year old Arravali and Vindhya hill range. Caracals, Sloth bears, Black bucks, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Toddy cat, crocodiles and over 270 species of birds abounds within its territory.
Stay overnight at Ranthambore resort.
Day 07: Ranthambore-Bharatpur
Morning after breakfast drive to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and upon arrival transfer to the resort.
Bharatpur: Regarded as one of Asia’s best bird sanctuaries, Bharatpur is home to over 400 species of birds. Also known as Kaledeo Ghana Park, it attracts migratory bird from far away countries like Tibet, Afghanistan, and Central Asia and even from Siberia. Some exotic species of birds found within include cormorants, spoonbills, storks, egrets, herons, pelicans and ibis. After a detailed bird watching tour, return to the resort for overnight stay.
Day 08: Bharatpur
The best way to tour the reserve is by a rickshaw ride as these trained rickshaw pullers are well aware of whereabouts of exotic birds. After the morning bird watching tour, visit to Lalgarh Fort built by founder of Bharatpur Maharaja Suraj Mal in the 18th century. The government museum displaying rich collection of ancient inscriptions, exquisitely carved sculptures and artifacts is also popular. The Bharatpur Palace, displaying a fine example of fusion architecture of Rajput and Mughal styles is also worth visiting.
Day 09: Bharatpur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
Morning drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned capital of Mughals. Still in remarkably preserved state, it was abandoned due to lack of potable water. The courtyards, palaces, tomb of Salim Chisti, the imposing Buland Darwaza are worth exploring in detail. Continue drove to Agra and upon arrival check-in at a luxury hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Agra
Morning visit to the symbol of eternal love-Taj Mahal. Constructed by Shahjahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the monument prized as one of world’s seven wonders exhibits flawless conception and execution. The Agra fort is our next destination housing famous buildings like Diwan-i-Khass, Diwan-i-Am, Jahangiri Mahal, Khass Mahal and Moti Masjid etc. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Agra-Umaria-Bandhavgarh
Morning transfer to the Agra railhead for rail to Umaria and upon arrival meets with our representatives who shall drive you to Bandhavgarh. Upon arrival check-in at a wildlife resort and rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Bandhavgarh
One of India’s well known reserve, Bandhavgarh was used once as the hunting preserves of rulers of Rewa. The white tigers were first discovered in its enchanting territory, and it also holds the proud distinction of housing the highest density of Tigers amongst all reserves in the country. Other animals in the reserve include Jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat and Leopard.
Set out for game drives into the reserve(Jeep/Canter/Elephant) accompanied by an expert naturalist. Overnight stay at Bandhavgarh resort.
Day 13: Bandhavgarh- Khajuraho
Morning elephant safari into the reserve which is regarded more suitable for wildlife viewing. Return to the resort for lunch, followed by bird watching tour in the reserve housing over 200 species of birds including endangered ones. An exciting trekking expedition follows in the rough, hilly areas of the reserve. Evening luxury drive to Khajuraho and upon arrival transfer to a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Khajuraho-Varanasi
Full day sightseeing of Khajuraho group of temples known the world over as the temples of love. The historical monument displays the eroticism artistically through its sculptures. Built during 950 to 1050 AD and displaying extensive carvings and architectural skills of medieval India, the complex comprises of Southern, eastern and western group of temples. A detailed sightseeing of temples follows by transfer to Khajuraho airport for flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival meet with our representatives who shall drive you to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Varanasi
Varanasi is the quintessential India, with its ancient history, deep religious roots and several sacred shrines. Visit the famous ghats lined up with devotees and Sadhus offering prayers and chanting mantras. Explore the sacred temples standing as a testimony to cities glorious past and take a boat ride upon the tranquil waters of Ganges, a dip in which is believed to relieve one of his sins. Overnight stay at Varanasi hotel.
Day 16: Departure
In time transfer to Varanasi airport and board flight to your onward/return journey, as your memorable tour concludes.
