Day 01: Delhi
You get the first feel of Varanasi with Heritage India tour from the traditional Indian welcome bestowed upon you at the hotel check-in, comprising of Garland, Tilak and Aarti. You may utilize the rest of the day to explore the city or indulge in a soothing massage at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Delhi offers a plethora of options to their visitor that belonging to different periods in History each exhibits its own charm and architectural skills unique to it. Our full day sightseeing involves Qutab Minar(India’s tallest single minaret), Humayun’s tomb(World Heritage Site), India Gate (Memorial to martyrs), Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Enjoy a rickshaw ride into the narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk and indulge in shopping for some traditional goods or ethnic jewelry from its market. Overnight stay at Delhi hotel.
Day 03: Delhi-Samode-Jaipur
Morning after breakfast drive to Samode – a picturesque town ideal to give you a taste of Rajasthan’s splendor. Apart from its serene sand dunes and charming villages, Samode is famous for its exquisite Haveli’s (mansions) depicting beautiful frescos & paintings adorning its walls. One of our visits shall be to Samode Palace known for the Shekhawati paintings and brilliant architectural skills. After the eventful sightseeing, continue driving towards Jaipur and upon arrival check-in at a hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Jaipur
Jaipur is one of the most culturally rich cities of India and being ruled by several dynasties during its glorious past-the city has royalty embedded all over it. We shall be visiting the famous Amber Fort, which is the most frequented destination in Jaipur. Apart from its exquisite architecture, it is famous for the elephant ride that visitors take to reach to forts entrance.
Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace and Jantar Mantar (ancient astronomical observatory) shall be our next destinations as you marvel at the artistic abilities of bygone era. Dinner & overnight stay at Jaipur hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
After a leisurely breakfast drive to the most famous vertex of Golden Triangle tour –Agra. En-route we visit Fatehpur Sikri-once the capital of Powerful Mughal rulers which was abandoned owing to lack of potable water and now a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Still in remarkably preserved state, the fort houses several structures inside which we shall be covering in detail. Later, the drive continues towards Agra and upon arrival transfer to a luxury hotel.
Day 06: Agra Sightseeing
After a leisurely breakfast, our expert guide shall take you on the much awaited visit to Taj Mahal. Now a pride of India, Taj Mahal has seen its popularity multiply owing to the legends behind its birth. Whereas most monuments were built for symbolizing victory, as royal residence or to aid in military advancement, Taj Mahal was built to serve as a symbol of love. Needless to mention the exquisite beauty of this marble clad structure also plays its part.
Other monuments worth visiting include Agra Red Fort which is almost a replica of Delhi Red Fort and Jama Masjid-regarded as the biggest mosque in Asia. Overnight stay at Agra hotel.
Day 07: Agra-Gwalior
Morning drive to Gwalior known for its pleasant blend of culture, history and new age developments. Upon arrival transfer to a hotel for check-in. Post lunch, proceed for city sightseeing starting from Gwalior fort- a colossus structure and one of cities most popular landmark. Continue towards Jai Vilas Palace-another famous destination giving a glimpse into the majestic lifestyle of the royals. Dinner & overnight stay at Gwalior Hotel.
Day 08: Gwalior-Orchha-Khajuraho
Morning indulge in shopping for some traditional goods and handicrafts in Gwalior’s famous market. A drive to Khajuraho follows en-route halting at Orchha group of temples. Believed to have been built during 16th and 17th centuries by the Bundela rulers, the temples exhibiting rich artistic acumen of bygone age and are in remarkably preserved state. Later, continue towards Khajuraho and upon arrival check-in at a hotel. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
Day 09: Khajuraho
Full day sightseeing of Khajuraho including the village life and the world-renowned temples. The town is famous for the masterful depiction of sensual, erotic sculptures. These temples were built by Chandela dynasty between 950 AD to 1150 AD and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex comprising of Eastern, Western & Southern group of temples shall be covered in detail with our expert guide explaining the depicted meaning of famous sculptures.
Day 10: Khajuraho-Varanasi
Morning transfer to Khajuraho airport for flight to Varanasi and upon arrival meets with our representatives who shall assist & transfer you to the hotel. Post lunch set out to explore the city known as the preserver and essence of India. With a history dating back to 3000 BC, the heritage city has much to offer in terms of sightseeing. Visit Banaras Hindu University(BHU), Assi Ghat, Dashaswamedh Ghat, Bharat Mata Temple and the main shrine in Varanasi- the Vishwanath Temple.
Dinner & overnight stay at Varanasi hotel.
Day 11: Varanasi-Delhi
Early morning proceed for a boat ride upon the tranquil waters of Holy Ganges, witnessing devotees offering prayers on the riverfronts, priests chanting ‘Mantras’ and ringing of temple bells filling the air with their sweet music. According to Hindu mythology, a dip in the sacred waters of Ganges relieves one of the sins and having ones last rites performed here results in divine attainment of ‘Nirvana’.
Later in the day transfer to Varanasi airport for flight to Delhi and upon arrival check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Departure
Last day of your Heritage with Varanasi tour. Just relax at the hotel or indulge in some last minute shopping before transferred to International airport for your onward/return journey.
